Value Bet Or Bluff by Toth?

Iurii Okolovich opened to 12,000 from under the gun and Istvan Toth called in the next seat with Mehmet Demirkol three-betting to 37,000 in the cutoff. Okolovich folded, and Toth called.

They went to a flop of 2♣8♦9♦ where Toth check-called a bet of 17,000 from Demirkol, then they both checked the 5♣ turn.

An 8♠ paired the board on the river and Toth fired 30,000, which Demirkol called.

Toth seemed a bit reluctant to show then flipped 3♥3♦ for a pair of threes, which were good for the pot as Demirkol mucked. It's unknown if that was a value bet or a bluff by Toth, but he reaped the rewards and knuckled on the table in celebration as he scooped in the pot.

In a battle between the blinds, Andrea Dato led out for 6,000 on a Q♦Q♥8♦ flop and Erik Lindqwist raised to 18,000. Dato called and the K♥ fell on the turn.

Lindqwist then bet 22,000 and Dato again called. Both players checked the A♣ river and Dato showed K♦3♣ for two pair to win the pot.

Felix Schneiders was all-in from under the gun for around 90,000 and had been put at risk by Artem Kotkovskyi out of the small blind.

Schneiders was in the lead but fell behind on the 3♦5♣Q♣ flop as Kotkovskyi improved to top pair.

"I feel a nine is coming," said Schneiders, but unfortunately his feeling was wrong as neither the 4♠ turn nor A♣ river could bail him out, which meant he was eliminated.

Schneiders was interviewed by PokerStars TV after the hand. "It was a nice run while it lasted. My deepest one yet in an EPT Main Event. Now it's off to Prague," Schneiders said.

Lyudmil Ivanov opened to 12,000 from early position and was faced with a three-bet to 31,000 by Georgios Tsouloftas in middle position.

Action folded back to Ivanov, who took some time to think before four-bet jamming for around 165,000 total. After some thought Tsouloftas made the call with the covering stack.

Ivanov was ahead with his pocket nines, and remained so after the K♣10♣5♦ flop, although his opponent also picked up a gutshot to go with his overcards.

The A♥ rolled off on the turn to put Tsouloftas ahead, and Ivanov could not find the required nine on the 7♠ river. Ivanov tapped the table and wished his opponents good luck as he departed.

A dream spot for Taylor, but a disastrous one for Dray as his Cowboys were about to send him to the showers. However, there were still five cards to come.

The flop of 3♥4♣2♠ made Taylor an even bigger favorite as he picked up a gutshot straight draw to go along with his overpair. Dray was reduced to just two outs when the 9♦ hit the turn and hope was nearly gone. He even stood up, bracing himself for the walk to the rail. But poker is a game of drama—and just when the chips were ready to slide to Taylor, the dealer revealed the K♣ on the river, earning Dray the pot and snatching victory from the brink of elimination.
