Timo Kamphues Eliminated in 9th Place ($94,940)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Timo Kamphues
Timo Kamphues

Timo Kamphues opened to 275,000 from early position and Oliver Weis three-bet to 480,000 from the small blind.

It was folded back around to Kamphues, who called all in for 375,000 total and hands were revealed.

Timo Kamphues: A8All in
Oliver Weis: J9

Kamphues held the lead with his ace, but the 93Q flop vaulted Weis into the lead with a pair of nines.

The J improved Weis to two pair and left Kamphues drawing to four outs. It wasn't meant to be, however, as the A river was too little, too late and Kamphues was eliminated in ninth place.

Weis Bluffs Wigg

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Oliver Weis raised his K10 to 175,000 in middle position and was called by Anton Wigg in the cutoff, who had A10.

The 784 flop hit neither player and was consequently checked around. The A turn went check-check as well before the 9 river hit the felt.

Weis put in a bet of 425,000, sending Wigg into the tank. He spent one time bank before folding the best hand as Weis added even more to his stack.

Tsouloftas Folds to Weis' Pressure

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Oliver Weis opened to 160,000 first to act with A8 and Georgios Tsouloftas called from directly behind with Q9. Andrea Dato also called in the big blind with 97 for a three-way pot.

It was checked to Tsouloftas on the 5J6 flop and he bet 250,000. Dato folded, but Weis then check-raised to 850,000 and Tsouloftas called.

Weis continued for 1,800,000 on the 3 turn and Tsouloftas laid his dominated draw down.

Shalamov Takes Three-Way Pot

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Anton Wigg raised his AQ to 200,000 in early position. Mikhail Shalamov called in the cutoff with 88 and so did Oliver Weis in the big blind, with 75.

The trio checked through the 96J flop before the J fell on the turn. It checked to Shalamov once again, but this time he bet 275,000.

Weis snap-folded his gutshot and Wigg eventually got rid of his overcards, seeing Shalamov chip up.

Andrea Dato
Andrea Dato

Anton Wigg opened to 175,000 first to act with AJ and was called by Andrea Dato on the button. Oliver Weis squeezed to 800,000 from the small blind, which got a fold from Wigg, but a back-shove from Dato for 2,730,000.

Weis snap-called and a showdown was held.

Andrea Dato: JJAll in
Oliver Weis: QQ

It was a bit of a cooler for Dato, and the Q9293 runout needlessly improved Weis to a full house to eliminate Dato in eighth place.
