Vaskaboinikau Makes a Tough Call to Chop With Mateos
Level 13
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 160,000 ante
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau raised to 32,000 in the hijack and Adrian Mateos called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 5♠4♣3♥ flop before Mateos led out for 60,000 on the 2♣ turn. Vaskaboinikau then raised to 150,000 and Mateos called.
The river was the 6♣, putting a straight on the board, and Mateos moved all in. Vaskaboinikau tanked for a minute and eventually called for around 500,000. Mateos showed J♠6♠, while Vaskaboinikau had A♥8♠ to chop the pot.
