Thomas Eychenne Bubbles the Super High Roller

Level 18 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Thomas Eychenne
Thomas Eychenne

Artur Martirosian raised to 115,000 under the gun and Thomas Eychenne moved all in for 875,000 on the button. Roman Hrabec gave the decision some thought but eventually folded, while Martirosian called to put Eychenne at risk.

Thomas Eychenne: QQ All in
Artur Martirosian: AK

It was a classic flip, and the 6434 board left Eychenne poised for a double up with just one card to go. The river, though, brought the K and Martirosian spiked two pair to win the pot and bust Eychenne on the money bubble.

The remaining six players are now bagging up their chips for tomorrow's final table.

Level 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Mehdi Chaoui
Mehdi Chaoui

Daniel Rezaei put in his last 10,000 from the hijack and then Alexander Zubov three-bet from the button, for more than what Mehdi Chaoui and Thomas Eychenne had in the blinds. Chaoui called off his stack of 310,000 from the small blind before Eychenne got out of the way.

Mehdi Chaoui: AKAll in
Alexander Zubov: J10

The two short stacks had woke up with premiums, with Rezaei remaining best following the 1096 flop. Zubov had top pair to put Chaoui on the verge of exit but the K turn meant he was the favorite to take the side pot while Rezaei improved to a set. However, the Q river gave Zubov a straight for the the double bust out.

Adrian Mateos

Heads-up on a flop of 753, Manuel Fritz bet 23,000 from the big blind and Adrian Mateos raised to 90,000 in the cutoff. Fritz then reraised to 160,000 and Mateos called.

The turn was the 4 and Fritz bet 125,000. Mateos called to see the K river, where Fritz bet another 90,000. Mateos then moved all in.

Fritz instantly let out a deep groan as he went deep into the tank considering the decision for his last 380,000. He burned through four time banks and took several minutes before calling. Mateos showed K6 for a straight and Fritz tossed 43 into the muck on his way to the exit.

"He was thinking it was a good card for him, but it was not a good card for him," Mikalai Vaskaboinikau said after Fritz had gone.
