Murcia on Crumbs
Level 34
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Marco Gambini opened to 600,000 from early position with A♣9♣. Remy Murcia called with the dominated 9♠7♠ from the big blind.
Gambini made two pair on the A♠9♥4♦ flop and checked behind after Murcia passed the action over to him.
Murcia then check-called for 750,000 on the 4♣ turn, which brought in the 8♣ river. Murcia checked, and Gambini sized up to 2,000,000. Murcia, who had 2,380,000, was put to the test for most of his chips. He agonized over his options, ending up making the call only to be shown the bad news.
