Mettoudi Takes Down a Big One as Bubble Approaches
Level 17
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Thajhan Yogendran opened 17,000 in early position, and both Yaroslav Shkliar and Mike Mettoudi made the call.
The 9♣6♠2♠ flop hit the felt, and Mettoudi check-called a bet of 30,000 from Shkliar, while Yogendran mucked.
The 6♦ landed on the turn, and Mettoudi checked once more before facing a bet of 82,000. Mettoudi thought about it for a few moments and made the call.
When the K♠ completed the board, Mettoudi checked for the final time, and Shkliar tanked for about two minutes before opting to check back. Mettoudi tabled J♣9♠, for top pair on the flop and Shkliar mucked his hand.
