Lupascu's Stack Keeps Growing as he Busts Waisbord
Level 25
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Matei Lupascu raised 80,000 under the gun and the action folded around to Laurent Waisbord in the small blind, who moved all in for 85,000. Johan Creutz was in the big blind and called before Lupascu tossed the extra chip in the middle.
The dealer fanned a flop of K♦Q♣9♣ and Creutz check-called a bet of 145,000 from Lupascu.
The 2♠ turn and 9♥ river were checked down, forcing all three hands to be shown.
Waisbord tabled A♦8♠, while Creutz showed A♣10♣, and Lupascu took down the pot with K♥8♥ making top pair.
