Ten Haven Busts Miegel in Cooler

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Duco ten Haven
Duco ten Haven

Cards were on their backs and chips were in the middle, with Jakob Miegel all-in for around 54,000 and at risk versus Duco Ten Haven.

Jakob Miegel: AK
Duco ten Haven: AA

Miegel had run his ace-king straight into Ten Haven's aces and no unlikely escape was provided for him on the J4887 runout.

Ten Haven, who has had a great festival so far - taking the title in the €10,200 Mystery Bounty and following it up with fourth place in the €50,000 Super High Roller - moves towards the 200,000 mark.

Margets Eliminated After Flopping a Set

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Leo Margets
Leo Margets

Andras Nemeth opened 2,200 on the button and Arthur Conan three-bet to 4,500 in the small blind. Leo Margets was in the big blind and used a time bank before putting in a four-bet to 23,000. Nemeth snap-mucked, while Conan put the rest of the chips in the middle, and Margets called off her stack of about 48,000.

Leo Margets: JJ
Arthur Conan: AK

It was an action flop as the QJ4 hit the felt, giving Margets a set of jacks and Conan a royal flush draw. The 10 fell on the turn, for Conan to improve to Broadway and Margets couldn't pair the board as the 6 landed on the river.

PokerNews Podcast Special: Shaun Deeb Talks $800K Body Fat Prop Buyout & 2024 WSOP Schedule

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On this special episode of the PokerNews Podcast sponsored by 888poker, Chad Holloway goes one-on-one with Shaun Deeb, who accepted a $800,000 buyout in his $1 million body fat prop bet against Bill Perkins.

Nearly 11 months ago, the poker players agreed to a 14-month wager on Deeb's ability to bring his body fat composition down significantly. The bet had essentially no stipulations — either get to 17% body fat by the start of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), or lose $100,000.

Last month, Deeb gave his X followers an update on his progress, and it was certainly positive in his favor. A January 25 Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan showed his body fat had dropped to 23.9% with still four months to go. That caused Perkins to begin proposing potential buyout possibilities on X, although nothing had been officially agreed upon.

Shaun Deeb Accepts Buyout in $1 Million Body Fat Loss Prop Bet

On Friday, he went in for another DEXA scan, and he was in even better shape — 22.0% body fat composition. Then, on Saturday, the future Poker Hall of Famer informed his social media followers that Perkins had bought out of the bet for $800,000 just over three months from the start of the 2024 WSOP.

Deeb shared all the details of his journey, why he opted to accept the buyout, and where he plans to go from here. Plus, hear his thoughts on the 2024 WSOP schedule.
