Kenjic Bests Spernanza in Battle of the Blinds

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action folded around to the blinds, where Jovan Kenjic called from the small blind and Gianluca Speranza raised to 2,800 from the big blind. Kenjic called.

Kenjic check-called a 2,200 bet from Gianluca on the J35 flop and action checked through on the 9 turn.

Kenjic led out for a meager 1,200 bet after the 9 completed the board and Gianluca let his hand go.

"I would have called if you bet more," Gianluca said.

"I should have bet more then!" Kenjic replied.

Hero Call Gone Wrong as Bonanata Hits the Rail

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Marcelo Bonanata opened 2,000 in the hijack, and Daniel Koloszar called on the button.

The dealer spread a flop of 1092, and Bonanata check-called a bet of 2,000 from Koloszar.

When the K hit the turn, Bonanata checked again and snap-called a bet of 3,300.

The K paired the board on the river, and once checked to, Koloszar shoved all-in. Bonanata had 20,700 remaining and wasted no time pushing it across the line to make the call.

Koloszar rolled over QJ for a straight, while Bonanata's 97 was tabled as he exited the tournament.

Reixach Finds Hero Call to Burn Bernhauser

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Sergi Reixach
Sergi Reixach

Fabian Bernhauser opened to 1,200 and was called by Tibor Nagygyorgy, before action folded to Spanish crusher Sergi Reixach in the big blind. He reached for chips and produced a three-bet to 7,000, receiving a call from only Bernhauser.

On the AJ4 flop, Reixach led out with a bet of 2,000 and Bernhauser called.

The turn rolled off the Q and after some thought, Reixach continued with a bet of 4,000. Bernhauser again called.

The river brought the Q and Reixach slowed down, checking to his opponent. Bernhauser used a time bank before moving all in.

Reixach just covered Bernhauser and as soon as his opponent put his chips in the middle, Reixach laid out four time banks in front of the dealer. He clearly had a decision to make.

Reixach then asked for a count and on being told it was 54,000, sat up in his chair and looked in the air. After not much further thought, he said, "I think nines with the nine of diamonds. I have the king of diamonds," and made the call.

Unbelievably, Bernhauser turned over 99 for a pair of nines. Reixach turned over KK for a pair of kings, making the hero call with second pair on an ace-high paired board with turned flush possibilities.

His tablemates were astounded, Bernhauser looked shocked as he got up from the table.

There must have been a discussion with Lev Margolin earlier about Reixach's skills as Reixach looked at him with a smile on his face and said, "So now do you think am I lucky or good?"

Margolin laughed and said, "You're not good, you're great!"

Silva Pays Troyanovskiy

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Just before the blind went up, four players put in 1,300 each to see the 443 flop and, once checked to, Vladimir Troyanovskiy bet 2,200. Only Pablo Silva made the call from the button.

The K hit the turn and Troyanovskiy dropped a 5,000 chip across the line and received a call from Silva.

When the 5 completed the board on the river, Troyanovskiy fired 12,000. This time Silva took a bit longer, but eventually made the call to see the K9 and mucked his hand.
