Labat Holds For a Massive Double
Level 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Alberto Stegeman bet 7,000 on a flop of K♥6♣9♥ in early position before Kazuhiko Yotsushika raised to 30,000 in the hijack. Antoine Labat then moved all in for 165,000 in the big blind, Stegeman folded, while Yotsushika called.
Antoine Labat: K♦6♠
Kazuhiko Yotsushika: A♥3♥
Labat was ahead with two pair but needed to dodge Yotsushika's nut flush draw with nearly 400,000 at stake. The turn 2♠ was safe for Labat, while the river came the 3♠ and Labat earned the double up to climb up among the chip leaders.
