Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

[Removed:548] opened to 17,000 from early position and was faced with an all-in from Gaelle Baumann for 80,000. [Removed:549] made the quick call to put Baumann at risk.

Gaelle Baumann: AK
[Removed:548]: AJ

Baumann was in a strong position with her ace dominating [Removed:549]'s but things took a turn for the worse after the QJ7 flop gave [Removed:549] a pair of jacks.

Baumann could still hit a king or ten to prevail, but the 36 turn and river were bricks.

PokerNews Podcast Special: Shaun Deeb Talks $800K Body Fat Prop Buyout & 2024 WSOP Schedule

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On this special episode of the PokerNews Podcast sponsored by 888poker, Chad Holloway goes one-on-one with Shaun Deeb, who accepted a $800,000 buyout in his $1 million body fat prop bet against Bill Perkins.

Nearly 11 months ago, the poker players agreed to a 14-month wager on Deeb's ability to bring his body fat composition down significantly. The bet had essentially no stipulations — either get to 17% body fat by the start of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), or lose $100,000.

Last month, Deeb gave his X followers an update on his progress, and it was certainly positive in his favor. A January 25 Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan showed his body fat had dropped to 23.9% with still four months to go. That caused Perkins to begin proposing potential buyout possibilities on X, although nothing had been officially agreed upon.

Shaun Deeb Accepts Buyout in $1 Million Body Fat Loss Prop Bet

On Friday, he went in for another DEXA scan, and he was in even better shape — 22.0% body fat composition. Then, on Saturday, the future Poker Hall of Famer informed his social media followers that Perkins had bought out of the bet for $800,000 just over three months from the start of the 2024 WSOP.

Deeb shared all the details of his journey, why he opted to accept the buyout, and where he plans to go from here. Plus, hear his thoughts on the 2024 WSOP schedule.

Yea Triples Up, Stausholm Left with Crumbs

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Martin Stausholm
Martin Stausholm

Bekim Murtezi moved all in from early position for 92,000 and Joonhee Yea moved his 37,000 stack into the middle.

Action folded to Sebastian Guinand in the small blind who pondered the spot for a while, before eventually having the clock called on him and folding.

Martin Stausholm then called from the big blind, with the other players at risk.

Joonhee Yea: 66
Bekim Murtezi: QJ
Martin Stausholm: Q10

Yea was currently ahead and remained so after the A49 flop, him also being the only player holding a diamond.

The K turn was a relative brick and the 6 river improved Yea to a set and he raked in the pot. Murtezi took the 110,000 side pot with his queen-jack high.
