Kaverman Wakes Up With Kings to Cross a Million
Level 20
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Eliot Hudon raised to 25,000 under the gun before Dimitar Danchev three-bet to 75,000 in middle position. Christos Argyriadis then moved all in for 263,000 on the button and Byron Kaverman asked for a count and tanked for a few moments before calling in the small blind. Hudon and Danchev both folded.
Christos Argyriadis: A♣Q♠
Byron Kaverman: K♠K♦
Kaverman had picked up kings and was a favorite to score the knockout as the board came 5♣7♥6♣Q♥5♥. Argyriadis couldn't improve beyond his turned pair of queens and was sent to the rail, while Kaverman, who needed to spike a three-outer to double up earlier in this level, moved up past 1,000,000.
