Vlastos Flops the Nuts, Still Loses Big to Afriat

Ami Barer raised to 60,000 in early position and was called by Eric Afriat on the button and big blind Terry Vlastos.
The flop came 9♥Q♠10♦ and action checked to Afriat who bet 75,000. Only Vlastos called and both players checked the A♥ turn.
The river was the K♥ and Vlastos led out for 200,000. Afriat then raised to 675,000 and Vlastos snap-called.
Afriat turned over Q♥6♥ for a rivered flush and Vlastos buried his head in his hand as he showed J♥8♥, having flopped the nut straight that improved to a lesser flush on the river.
