Imad Derwiche was all-in before the flop and earned two callers in Aurelien Russo as well as Jose Manuel Gonzalez. Russo bet the Q♥10♦9♠2♥ turn for 9,500 and Gonzalez folded.

Justin Saliba raised to 1,000 as first to act and Javier Fernandez Alonso put in a three-bet to 3,500. The action folded back to Saliba, who made the call.
The 4♦J♦6♦ flop Saw Saliba check-call a 2,000 bet from his opponent before he check-folded when Fernandez Alonso fired an additional 8,500 on the 10♣ turn.
On the tail end of a heads-up pot to the K♥9♦8♥9♣5♠ river, Pavlos Xanthopoulos bet 2,300 in the small blind. Jose Carvajal raised to 7,000 in an early position and Xanthopoulos called.
Carjaval tabled the K♣Q♥ and it was good enough to win the pot on a table filled with notables.
Jorge Ramella on the button took on Razvan Belea in the big blind and the latter check-called a bet of 1,000 on the A♥6♥2♦ flop. They checked the 4♦ turn and Belea then bet 3♣ river for 1,500. Ramella folded and Belea claimed the pot.
Since the break, the defending champion of this very event has more than doubled and now sits firmly in the top ten of the leaderboard.
Andrey Andreev had slipped all the way to just 7,000 and got those in via three-bet shove out of the big blind for Peter Jorgne to call.

Woody Christy had open-raised from early position when Samuel Fournier made it 2,900 to go from the hijack. Andrei Konopelko and Sabare Atmani called cold in the blinds, after which Christy jammed all in for 30,900.
Fournier quickly got out of the way and Konopelko eventually followed suit. Atmani, however, stuck in a call with the bigger stack and the cards were turned over.

The 10♣7♣8♦10♥ runout brought some counterfeit outs for Christy, but the Q♦ river bricked regardless. He took his leave while Atmani chipped up to over 150 big blinds.
With a pot of around 25,000 to the 10♥8♥2♣J♣ turn, Alessandro Fruet pushed all-in out of the big blind and Hwany Lee beat him into the pot from the under-the-gun position.

"Of course," another player exclaimed when they saw the cards in showdown. Fruet needed a queen to survive but the K♥ river was too little too late. Both stacks were counted and the 14,600 of Fruet were covered by Lee.
