Guelpa Eliminated by Jorgne

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Peter Jorgne
Peter Jorgne

With some 17,000 in the middle to the 1097 flop, Stephane Guelpa checked in middle position. Peter Jorgne bet 6,500 in the cutoff only to get check-raised to 21,000. Jorgne then pushed all-in and Guelpa called.

Stephane Guelpa: 98
Peter Jorgne: 77

Jorgne was ahead with a set of sevens and whispered "no heart". That request was granted on the 2 turn and 3 river before the stacks were counted. Jorgne's 116,700 covered as Guelpa only had around 102,000 and last year's runner-up soared to one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Sandev Doubles With Kings

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Georgi Sandev and Lars Tungel were heads up on a flop of 71010. With around 8,000 chips in the middle, Tungel had checked and Sandev had made a bet of 2,100. Tungel then raised to 8,100, after which Sandev jammed all in for 27,100.

Tungel thought about it for a bit but eventually flicked in a call to put Sandev at risk.

Georgi Sandev: KK
Lars Tungel: K7

Tungel's two pair was in deep trouble against Sandev's higher two pair. The A turn did nothing for either player, and the K river saw Sandev make a full house to secure his double-up, surpassing Tungel in chips.

[Removed:555] Runs Into Aces to Bust

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

[Removed:554] open-jammed for the last 12,800 on the button and Aleksandr Shevliakov in the small blind asked for an exact count, then tossed in a single chip for the call. Bernard Darmon in the big blind folded.

[Removed:554]: Q10
Aleksandr Shevliakov: AA

[Removed:555] earned a lot of equity on the 732 flop and 10 turn, but the 6 river was a blank to send the Dutchman to the rail.

Heath Pays Geci

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ben Heath raised to 2,400 as first to act and Endrit Geci made it 7,200 to go on the button. After Heath made sure he knew what his opponent's stack was, he put in the call.

Both players went on to check on the Q79 flop before Heath check-called Geci's bet of 6,000 chips on the 9 turn.

The 7 river then completed the board and Heath checked once more. Geci now bet 17,000 chips, around half his stack. Heath flicked in a quick call and Geci showed AK for a flush.

Heath's cards swiftly hit the muck and he paid Geci his dues.

Jorgne Wins Big Stack Battle With Hrabec

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Roman Hrabec opened in late position and then called a three-bet to 7,500 in the hijack by Peter Jorgne, which led them to the Q32 flop. Hrabec check-raised from 8,000 to 22,000 only for Jorgne to make it 43,000 to go. The call by Hrabec followed and he then led the Q turn for 23,500.

Jorgne glanced over from the other side of the table and inquired about the bet size and how much his opponent had behind before coming along.

Hrabec sized down even further and bet just 15,000 on the A river. Jorgne gave it a few seconds before moving all-in and Hrabec instantly chuckled.

"Nice aces," Hrabec appeared to whisper before sending the cards into the muck with a grin on the face.
