Coutinho Leaves Van Wersch Short Near the Bubble

Heads-up on a flop of 96A, Raoul van Wersch bet 7,000 from the hijack before Sergio Coutinho raised to 27,000 in the small blind.

Van Wersch tanked for more than a minute until emerging with a reraise to 57,000. Coutinho responded by moving all in and Van Wersch, with around 60,000 remaining, quickly folded.

O'Neill Makes Move Against Chipleader

Eliot Hudon raised to 8,000 from the hijack. Padraig O'Neill then three-bet to 23,000 on the button and the action eventually folded back to Hudon.

Hudon made it 58,000 to go and that ended the hand quickly as O'Neill's cards swiftly hit the muck.

Dietrich Jams Flop

Moritz Dietrich opened to 8,000 from early position and Henok Tekle Mariam defended his big blind.

On the 463 flop Mariam led out with a bet of 7,000, only to be faced with an all-in jam from Dietrich for 70,000.

Mariam thought about it for a moment but let his hand go pretty quickly.

Ihar Soika bet 8,000 from under the gun on a flop of 535 and Bernhard Binder called in the cutoff. Alexios Zervos then raised to 35,000 in the big blind, Soika called, while Binder got out of the way.

The turn was the 4 and Zervos bet 42,000. Soika again called and the 10 fell on the river.

Zervos then bet 135,000, sending Soika deep into the tank. A tablemate eventually called the clock after nearly five minutes and Soika folded.

"Big fold?" Zervos asked him and Soika shook his head.

"No," Zervos said in disbelief.

"Ace-high," another tablemate added.

Donato De Bonis moved all in for 63,000 in the cutoff before Gilles Cadignan reshoved on the button. Ryan Plant in the small blind had around 35,000 remaining and tanked for several minutes until the clock was called. He eventually ended up folding.

De Bonis caught the miracle he was looking for as the 7 fell in the window, but it was followed by 2K as Cadignan made a higher set. The board ran out 94 and De Bonis was eliminated a few spots short of the money.

Jonathan Ben Soussan raised to 8,000 in middle position before Jerry Odeen three-bet to 15,000 in the hijack. Ben Soussan called, leaving himself just 14,000 behind.

Both players checked the A35 flop before the 9 fell on the turn. Ben Soussan then bet his last chips. "It's a bluff," Ben Soussan said as Odeen began tanking.

"I didn't think I would have a decision to make," Odeen said, but he eventually called.

Odeen showed KK, but Ben Soussan had A2 for top pair. The river was the 8 and Ben Soussan doubled up.

Margolin All In Blind, Survives Bubble

Lev Margolin was automatically all in in the big blind and Youcef Benzerfa limped in from middle positon. Simon Wiciak then completed his small blind and the pair checked through the 3510Q9 board.

Once the cameras had arrived, it was time for showdown. Benzerfa showed A4 for ace-high while Wiciak played K8 for a lesser king-high.

Margolin turned over 73 and his bottom pair tripled him up as the bubble continued.
