Timothy Adams was in the small blind and pushed the rest of his 140,000 into the middle as Clement Kerrien put him at risk from the cutoff.
Timothy Adams: A♥10♣
Clement Kerrien: J♣J♦
Adams needed to improve against Kerrien's jacks as the flop came 7♣8♠K♠. The Q♥ turn left Adams drawing only to an ace or one of the last two jacks in the deck to make a straight, but he instead saw the 7♦ fall to end his tournament.
Diego Montone raised to 16,000 in early position before Atanas Pavlov three-bet to 41,000 in the cutoff. Benny Glaser four-bet to 100,000 on the button, Montone folded, while Pavlov called.
The flop came 6♠5♦10♦ and Glaser continued for 60,000. Pavlov called and checked over to Glaser on the 8♠ turn, and this time Glaser checked back.
Both players again checked the A♦ river and Pavlov showed Q♠Q♦. Glaser, though, had A♣J♣ for a rivered pair of aces to take the pot.
Ami Barer raised to 16,000 from an early position with the K♥9♣ and table short stack Max Neugebauer defended the big blind with the Q♦5♥. The Q♠10♠4♦ flop gave Neugebauer top pair and he checked, Barer bet 9,000.
Neugebauer check-raised to 22,000 and earned a call from Barer. The 6♠ followed on the turn and Neugebauer only had 34,000 behind, which he moved into the middle. Barer visibly went through the possible combinations, shook his head and called.
Only a king or jack could knock out Neugebauer and the J♥ river ended his run on the new feature table right after coming back from the break.
Dimitar Danchev opened under the gun before Alex Glogar moved all in for around 120,000 in middle position. Danchev called once the table folded back to him.
Alex Glogar: A♥10♥
Dimitar Danchev: Q♦Q♣
Glogar needed an ace to survive but none arrived on the 2♦K♥7♠8♠4♥ board as Danchev sent him to the rail. "With your stack, you could open wide," Glogar said to Danchev as he headed for the payout desk.
Raman Dziamyanik raised to 12,000 in the hijack before Sahil Chuttani three-bet to 42,000 in the small blind. Pierre Calamusa then four-bet to 80,000 in the big blind. Dziamyanik folded, but Chuttani moved all in and Calamusa called for 195,000.
Pierre Calamusa: A♥K♥
Sahil Chuttani: A♠10♦
Calamusa had Chuttani dominated and improved to top pair on the K♦6♣5♦ flop. The Q♦ on the turn gave Chuttani a straight draw. "No," Calamusa cried out, but he dodged the Q♠ river to double up.
At the same time at another table, Mathias Siljander was all in for 192,000 from early position against Romeric Redjdal in the big blind.
Mathias Siljander: Q♥Q♦
Romeric Redjdal: A♣K♠
Siljander put a near-lock on the hand as the Q♠6♠6♦ flop gave him a full house. The board ran out 5♦9♦ and he doubled up.
Tom Middleton won a showdown pot against Gonzalo Almeida and then got a three-bet squeeze through. The Brit then opened to 18,000 out of the small blind and Alexander van der Swaluw three-bet to 55,000. Middleton opted to shove for 208,000 effective and van der Swaluw sigh-called.
Alexander van der Swaluw: 9♠9♦
Tom Middleton: A♣10♥
The board ran out A♥6♥3♥Q♠J♠ and van der Swaluw's chips were swallowed up by Middleton.
David Tous Rosich made it 12,000 to go from an early position with the K♠10♥, picking up a single caller by Liangce Ni in the small blind with the K♦Q♠. The 10♠8♠7♦ flop was checked and the 5♠ turn gave both players a flush draw.
Ni checked again and Tous Rosich bet 15,000 for Ni to check-raise, as he bumped it up to 47,000. Tous Rosich didn't go anywhere with top pair and the king-high flush draw, then improved to trips with the 10♦ river.
Ni bluff-shoved the river for 115,000 and Tous Rosich called with the superior stack to score the knockout.
Maxime Parys opened to 12,000 from early position and Samuel Ju shoved for his last 115,000 from middle position. Derk Van Luijk called cold from the cutoff and Parys folded
Samuel Ju: A♥J♠
Derk van Luijk: K♠K♣
Ju would need some help against van Luijk's cowboys, but the 3♠10♥5♠Q♦5♣ runout changed nothing and Ju was eliminated.
In a blind versus blind battle, Peter Jorgne bet 10,000 on a board of A♦K♣6♥J♦ and Barny Boatman raised to 25,000. Jorgne called.
The river was the 9♦ and Boatman bet 50,000. Jorgne picked up the chips to call and shuffled them in his hand for around 30 seconds before placing them in the middle.
Boatman turned over Q♦5♦ for a rivered flush and Jorgne flashed the K♦ before mucking.
Eero Rantala's miserable day finally came to an end as he was recently eliminated after beginning Day 3 among the chip leaders.
