Picone and Lewis Clash in Big Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Igor Picone
Igor Picone

Romain Lewis made it 25,000 to go with the AQ from an early position and Igor Picone three-bet big to 90,000 out of the small blind with QJ. It folded back to Lewis, who pondered about it for a short while and called.

Picone made the top two pair on the QJ9 flop and continued for 60,000, Lewis called. The 2 turn was checked by Picone and Lewis bet 100,000 to now send Picone into the think tank. One time bank later, the Belgian jammed for 291,000 and Lewis shrugged before calling.

The 4 river was a blank and Lewis saw his stack reduced to fumes.

Jaksland Trips up Arduini

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Peter Jaksland opened to 25,000 from under the gun and was called by Lorenzo Arduini from middle position for a heads-up pot.

Arduini called a 26,000 bet from Jaksland on the 9108 flop and a 52,000 bet from Jaksland on the 6 turn.

The 8 completed the board and Jaksland slowed down and checked. Arduini thought a bit and decided to check behind, prompting Jaksland to table A8 for rivered trips. Arduini couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Jaksland.

Owen Dodd: QQ
Francisco Perez: JJ

The board came AK310 and Perez picked up a straight draw heading to the river, needing one of the last two remaining queens in the deck. "A queen is coming," he said, but the dealer instead turned over the 3 and Dodd doubled up.

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Panagiotis Marvritsakis opened to 27,000 from early position and was called by Fouad Rabahie in the cutoff and Raoul Van Wersch in the big blind.

Van Wersch checked to Marvritsakis on the Q59 flop and he continued for 28,000. Rabahie folded and Van Wersch called.

Both players checked on the 9 turn and then Van Wersch led out for 32,000 after the Q fell on the river.

Lorenzo Arduini
Lorenzo Arduini

Mallory Frere open jammed for 171,000 from early position, Peter Jaksland called in the cutoff and Lorenzo Arduini moved all in for 628,000 from the small blind. Jaksland made the call for a huge proportion of his stack.

Mallory Frere: A10
Lorenzo Arduini: AK
Peter Jaksland: KK

The Q3J flop brought both Frere and Arduini a straight draw, but it was the 10 turn that gave Arduini Broadway. The 3 river ensured Frere's departure as well as leaving Jaksland short.
