Olivier Rebello made it 12,000 to go on the button with the 7♥7♣ and Benjamin Spragg defended the big blind holding the A♠7♠. The A♦K♣7♦ flop gave Spragg top and bottom pair, which he checked. Rebello bet 8,000 for the PokerStars ambassador to call.

They headed to the 9♥ turn on which Spragg checked again. Rebello now bet 26,000 into 49,000 and earned a call from Spragg, who needed an ace on the river.

Instead, it was the 6♠ river and Spragg checked with 66,000 behind. Rebello moved all-in and Spragg instantly called to see the bad news, then leave the main feature table.

Heads-up on a flop of 10♦9♣10♠, Eliot Hudon bet 10,000 from the big blind before small blind Sergio Coutinho raised to 32,000. Hudon called and the 2♥ fell on the turn.

Coutinho led out for 45,000 and Hudon again called. The river was the 3♣ and Coutinho slowed down and checked. Hudon quickly checked back and Coutinho showed Q♣10♣ for trip tens to win the pot.

Despite taking that hit, Hudon has still increased his stack past 1,000,000 early on Day 3.

Smith Beats Ni in Showdown

Elliot Smith raised to 12,000 with the K♣J♥ and Liangce Ni called from one seat over with the 8♥8♣. The J♣7♥4♣ flop was checked by Smith and he then checked a bet worth 15,000. Fast forward to the 5♦ turn, Smith checked once more and Li now bet 26,000.

Smith then noticed he had forgotten his time bank cards when moving tables and there was a small delay before they proceeded with the Canadian check-calling. That led to the 10♦ river on which both checked for Smith to win the pot.
