Mifsud Raises Deseyn Out

Heads-up on a board reading JJ44 with several hundred already in the middle, Xander Deseyn bet 800 from the big blind and Brandon Mifsud called on the button.

The 8 completed the board and Deseyn put 1,000 into the middle. Mifsud announced a raise to 11,000 and Deseyn showed pocket fives before sending them into the muck.

Mifsud showed the 8 as he collected the pot.

Early Pot for Rados

Domenico Pediglieri raised to 200 on the button and Julijan Rados three-bet from the big blind to 800. Pediglieri called and the flop came 553.

Rados continued for 400 and Pediglieri called. The turn was the A with both players checking.

The Q completed the board, with Rados sliding out a bet of 1,600. Pediglieri contemplated before calling but mucked when shown A4 from his opponent.

The iconic Hilton Prague once again opens its doors to poker enthusiasts from around the globe as the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague kicks off with Day 1a of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event. Cards are set to be in the air at 12 p.m. local time, marking the start of what promises to be a thrilling series filled with unforgettable moments.

Last year's event shattered records, drawing an astounding 4,403 entries across six starting flights. Austria’s Alexander Tkatschew emerged victorious, claiming his second major title in just a matter of weeks and walking away with €511,710. This year, expectations are even higher, with players eager to write their own piece of EPT history.

Players in today's flight will begin with 30,000 in chips and blinds at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. Levels will last 40 minutes each, and registration remains open until the end of Level 10, allowing for late arrivals and reentries. As is tradition, Day 1a will conclude when the field is trimmed to 15% of total entries, guaranteeing those who bag chips a spot in the money on Day 2.

The evening will also feature Day 1b, a turbo-format flight starting at 7 p.m. local time, offering an alternate chance for players to secure their place in Day 2.
