Abdel-Hakim Khelifa opened from the cutoff to 1,400 and Alexandru Anuta three-bet the button to 3,000. When it got back to Khelifa, he called.
On the 6♥A♦4♠ flop, both players checked to the 9♥ turn where Khelifa check-called a bet of 4,400 from Anuta.
An 8♦ landed on the river and after Khelifa checked for a third time, Anuta sized up with a bet of 14,000. Khelifa went into the tank and was thinking for around two minutes before he eventually decided to fold.
Anuta was kind enough to show A♥A♠ for top set, which no doubt gave Khelifa the reassurance he needed that he made the correct laydown.
