Spatharis Shows Bluff

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Gerald Karlic opened to 400,000 and received calls from Alexantr Spatharis and Michael Sklenicka in the blinds.

The JJ4 flop was checked through. On the 3 turn, Spatharis led out with a bet of 400,000, and only Sklenicka called.

The 6 river completed the board, and Spatharis jammed for 5,000,000, just covering Sklenicka, who let his hand go. Spatharis showed K7 for air.

Action folded around to the blinds, where Tim van Kemenade called from the small. Jack Sinclair took his option and raised to 600,000 from the big, which was met with a shove from Van Kemenade for approximately 3,000,000 total. Sinclair quickly called and a showdown was held.

Vaclav Drbal opened to 400,000 under the gun, and was called by Jack Sinclair in the next seat and Tim van Kemenade in the big blind.

On the A88 flop, Drbal continued with a bet of 400,000 and Sinclair called. Van Kemenade then produced a check-raise to 1,400,000, before Drbal three-bet jammed for 5,350,000.

Sinclair took some time to think before getting his stack of around 4,000,000 into the middle, and, unbelievably, Van Kemenade moved his stack forward, creating a three-way all-in.

Tim van Kemenade: AK

Sinclair was in dreamland with flopped quads leaving both of his opponents drawing dead. The KQ runout completed the board, sending a small side pot to Van Kemenade, and a massive triple up to Sinclair.

Martijn Kiers opened to 425,000 from the hijack and Theodoros Ampelikiotis shoved for 3,400,000 total on the button. It folded back around to Kiers, who snap-called to put Ampelikiotis at risk.

Ampelikiotis found himself against the worst-possible hand, but the 442 flop bailed him out after improving him to trip fours.

The Q turn and 2 river kept Ampelikiotis best and he was awarded the unlikely double up.
