Franco Polidori raised to 6,500 from under the gun. Niklas Astedt, in the small blind, three-bet jammed for 47,500. Polidori tanked for some time before making the call.
Niklas Astedt: A♣K♠
Franco Polidori: A♥Q♣
Astedt was ahead until the Q♦9♦2♠ materialized one of Polidori's outs. The 9♠ turn and 4♥ river changed nothing and Astedt was sent to the rail.
Iman Gazorishandiz raised from the hijack, Pierrick Burdan three-bet jammed for 8,000, from the button, and Gazorishandiz called.
Pierrick Burdan: A♠10♠
Iman Gazorishandiz: K♣9♦
Burdan had the best of it preflop and the 7♠6♣3♦ flop proved no threat. However, the K♥ turn put Gazorishandiz in the lead and the Q♥ river confirmed Burdan's departure.
Peteris Enders opened to 2,500 from under the gun. Koichi Aiba called in middle position. Florian Ribouchon also called from the cutoff. Both Dimitrios Asgoudakis and Emil Mattsson called from the small and big blind, respectively.
Both blinds checked the J♣8♦10♦ flop to Enders, who moved all in for 29,000. Aiba folded and Ribouchon called. Mattsson and Asgoudakis both folded.
Peteris Enders: Q♠Q♥
Florian Ribouchon: K♦J♦
Ribouchon flopped top pair and a flush draw and Enders was drawing dead on the 3♦ turn, which completed Ribuchon's flush. The 3♠ river changed nothing and Enders was eliminated after finding out he was covered by 100 chips.
The pot had grown to around 30,000 with two players looking at a board of 3♣4♣6♠8♠.
Malte Redschlag, who was under the gun, checked the action to Nathan Slater, in the hijack. Slater moved all in for 29,200 and Redschlah went deep into the tank.
Slater, who was the at-risk player, repeatedly announced to the table that he knew Redschlag had pocket tens and should make the call. Eventually, a neutral player at the table called the clock on Redschlag, prompting him to commit his chips.
Nathan Slater: K♦K♠
Malte Redschlag: 10♣10♥
Upon seeing he'd called Redschlag's cards correctly, Slater wasn't shy in announcing to the room how good he was at the game.
The A♣ river saw Slater hold and he claimed his healthy double up. Redschlag was left with just 5,000 behind the line and could be seen making his way to the rail only a few hands later.
Allan Jakobsen opened the action to 2,200 from early position and received calls from Felix Kias and George Steltman. Ryan Mandara put out a three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind and when the action returned to Jakobsen, he moved all in for approximately 30,000. Both Kias and Steltman folded, and Mandara snap called.
Allan Jakobsen: K♣K♥
Ryan Mandara: Q♥Q♦
Jakobsen was a huge favorite to double up, and the 10♦7♥4♠ flop only increased his chances. However, the Q♣ on the turn gave Mandara a set, and with the 6♦ on the river, Mandara scooped the pot and sent Jakobsen to the rail.
Action was picked up with the cards on their backs. Roberto Corbelli was all in and at risk versus the covering stack of Marcel Lopko.
Roberto Corbelli: 4♠4♣
Marcel Lopko: A♠K♠
Corbelli made a full house on the river of the 7♠7♦J♠3♥4♥ runout to secure the double up.
Sebastien Compte opened to 1,200 from under the gun. Thierry Gogniat called in middle position and Vahe Ter-Khachatryan defended the big blind.
The 9♣2♣7♦ flop was checked around, as was the A♣ turn. Ter-Khachatryan then led for 3,000 on the K♠ river. Compte folded and Gogniat called. Ter-Khachatryan tabled A♠7♣ for two pair which bested the one pair K♦J♦ of Gogniat.
Ter-Khachatryan couldn't continue to chip up and busted shortly after.
A player in middle position opened to 1,500, Christophe Pommier, in the hijack, three-bet to 4,500 and Sylvester Fortuna, in the cutoff, cold-called. Lyudmil Ivanov, in the big blind, four-bet jammed for 19,600. The original raiser folded, as did Pommier. Fortuna called.
Lyudmil Ivanov: A♠K♣
Sylvester Fortuna: 8♣8♠
Fortuna was ahead and the 4♠4♣10♥ flop saw him hold. The Q♦ turn gave Ivanov additional outs to a straight, but the 9♦ river saw him sent to the rail.
