Sokolovsky Makes Nut Flush to Send Jorstad to Rail

With action already on the flop on a board of 6♦2♠J♠, Alexander Sokolovsky checked and Espen Jorstad bet 21,000. Sokolovsky then raised it up to 75,000 and Jorstad called.

The turn was the 9♠ and Sokolovsky continued his aggression with a bet of 63,000. Jorstad called again to make for an inflated pot.

On the 4♣ river, Sokolovsky pushed all in with the bigger stack. Jorstad didn't take too long before he flicked in a chip to make the call. Jorstad had J♣J♥ for a set of jacks, but Sokolovsky turned over A♠7♠ for the nut flush to win a huge pot, sending Jorstad to the rail.

Marques Melts Tedeschi’s Stack With a Set of Snowmen

There were already around 250,000 chips in the pot on a board of 5♠J♠8♣2♥ when Pedro Marques checked from the cutoff and Paul-Francois Tedeschi fired 118,000 on the button. After a while, Marques shoved his stack of 636,000 into the middle, which gave Tedeschi a decision for his remaining stack of around 300,000.

All of Tedeschi's timebanks went into the middle while he mulled it over, and after burning through three, he made the call.

Tedeschi was already on his feet as he realized he was drawing dead, and there was no possible card in the deck that could save him. The 9♣ on the river was just a formality, and Marques was pushed the monster pot, which brought his stack up to around 1,300,000.

Porter Doubles With Full House

Julian Salvesen raised to 20,000 from the hijack, Luke Porter three-bet to 70,000 from the big blind and Salvesen called.

The flop came 9♥J♠K♦ and Porter continued for 40,000, which Salvesen called. On the 3♦ turn, Porter bet out, this time for 80,000. Salvesen called again.

The river was the J♦ and Porter moved almost all in, betting 199,000 and leaving himself just 7,000 behind. Salvesen went deep into the tank and used several of his time bank cards before eventually making the call.

Porter flipped over K♣K♠ for a full house, kings full of jacks. Salvesen couldn't beat it and mucked his hand, while Porter scooped in a huge double up.

With around 90,000 chips in the pot on a 9♠10♦8♠ flop, Dimitrios Gkatzas checked from the small blind and Arjel Daci followed suit from the big blind. Sylwia Studniarz then fired out 45,000, which Gkatzas called, and Daci folded.

An A♣ on the turn went check-check to the 8♦ river, where Gkatzas checked and Studniarz bet 75,000, then retreated into her shirt with just her eyes showing over the top. Gkatzas thought it over for some time, but eventually settled on a fold, much to the disappoint of Studniarz.

"Why?" she said as her opponent folded.

Philip Joyce opened the action from middle position to 20,000. The action folded to Davor Pistalo, who put out a three-bet of 65,000 from the small blind. Everyone folded, leaving Joyce to act. After confirming the exact count of his opponent's stack and using one timebank chip, Joyce moved all in, and Pistalo snap-called.

Pistalo was in excellent shape, with the 9♠10♥2♦ flop offering little danger. The 7♥ on the turn, however, gave Joyce a flush draw.

"Don't do it," Pistalo said to the dealer, but unfortunately for him, the river brought the 2♥, completing Joyce's flush and sending Pistalo to the rail.

Sorainen Shoves River and Sends Docherty Into Tank

David Docherty open-raised to 20,000 from under the gun, Luka Sorainen called in middle position, and the big blind called.

The flop came 2♦9♠J♦ and action checked to Sorainen, who made it 25,000 to go. The big blind called before Docherty check-raised to 125,000. Only Sorainen made the call. Both remaining players then checked it back on the A♥ turn.

The river was the A♦ and Docherty used a time bank card before placing out a bet of 210,000. Sorainen then moved all in.

"Jesus!", said Docherty, who had around 130,000 left behind and was now in a tough spot. He used all of his time bank cards and was down to his last ten seconds before reluctantly mucking his hand.

"That's why I don't like time banks," said Docherty. "If I'd have taken seven minutes no one would have called time."

The table agreed, but ultimately Sorainen had won the pot and dragged in several hundred thousand chips to add to his stack, which was up to around 1.2 million.

In the first hand after the dinner break, Brandon Sheils opened the action to 25,000 from under the gun and faced a three-bet to 75,000 from Gal Bar. Action folded to Alexis Andre in the big blind, who moved all in for 202,000. Sheils called, and Bar folded.

Andre found himself in a tough spot right after the break, but the 9♠4♠9♣ flop gave him plenty of outs. One of those outs appeared on the turn as the 6♠ completed his nut flush. The 10♣ on the river was no help to Sheils, and Andre doubled up to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Danut Chisu raised to 24,000 from early position with Carmelo Donato calling from the small blind. Pawel Wojciechowski squeezed to 94,000 from the big blind, which only Chisu called.

The 7♠J♠6♥ flop saw Wojciechowski put out a continuation-bet of 80,000, which Chisu called.

Wojciechowski bet again on the 8♥ turn, this time for 225,000. Chisu called again.

The 9♠ came on the river and Wojciechowski shoved for 779,000. Chisu went deep into the tank, burning through three of his time bank cards. Eventually, he settled on a fold and the pot was pushed to Wojciechowski.

Runcan Runs Good, Leaves Wood Chopped

Paul Runcan opened from middle position and Philipp Wood three-bet from the button to 72,000. When it got back to Runcan, he put in the four-bet to 180,000, then Wood shoved. Runcan had around 650,000 total and made the call, which left him at risk.

It was a tale as old as time with two premium hands racing off against each other deep in a poker tournament. The advantage stuck with Runcan after the J♣10♠5♥ flop, but Wood did pick up two extra outs with his Broadway draw. Just as quickly as they were gained, those two outs vanished from Wood's radar on the J♦ turn, which left him with one more shot.

All eyes were locked on the board as the dealer burned and turned over the 2♦, giving Runcan the big double-up, and chopping Wood's stack down to around 300,000.
