Verhaegen Flops a Flush
Level 11
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Yuriy Boyko opened from under the gun to 3,000 and Laurent Cessy three-bet the cutoff to 8,500. Wim Verhaegen was on the button and four-bet shoved his stack of 22,000, which got Boyko to fold. Cessy quickly called.
Wim Verhaegen: A♦Q♦
Laurent Cessy: J♠J♦
Verhaegen needed to win a flip, and didn't even need to sweat as the 4♦8♦7♦ flop gave him the nut flush. Amazingly, Cessy did find an out with the 10♦ turn with a straight flush draw, but that missed when the 8♥ river hit the felt.
