Markus Thimm opened the button to 25,000 and got a call from Sam Lam in the big blind.
Lam checked the A♠5♠4♦ flop with a stack of around 120,000, then Thimm fired 50,000. Lam used some extra time before he decided to make it 105,000, leaving just 16,000 behind.
Thimm rechecked his cards and came to the conclusion that they were no good, which gave the short-stacked Lam a nice boost to his stack early on Day 4.
