Woods Wisely Doesn't Pull the Trigger
Tobias Leknes opened 10♥10♦ to 40,000 from early position and Michael Uguccioni called with K♦Q♦ from the hijack. John Woods was in the cutoff and squeezed it up to 130,000 with K♥J♠, which sent Leknes into the tank for a while.
Eventually, Leknes called, and Uguccioni also called to see the Q♥5♣6♣ flop. When it checked to Woods, he bet 100,000, which got Leknes to fold. Uguccioni called with his pair of queens.
Woods picked up a gutshot on the 9♣ turn and when it got to him, he decided to knuckle back after using a time bank.
An 8♦ completed the board and put a four-liner out there, which Uguccioni checked over to Woods. With around 475,000 left in his stack, Woods decided to check it back, and watched the pot head to his opponent when Uguccioni flashed his pair of queens.
