Grodek Back with a Bang

In one of the first few hands back from the break, Stanislaw Grodek raised to 2,400 from under the gun. Igor Pihela made the call from the cutoff, and Fintan Hand also called from the big blind.
Hand and Grodek then each checked on the 7♠Q♣9♥ flop, allowing Pihela to take over the betting lead, doing so for 4,000. Hand made the call before Grodek check-raised to 12,000. Pihela called, but this time Hand got out of the way.
The dealer added the 10♦ turn to the board, and after a little time to consider his options, Grodek continued with a bet of 15,000.
Pihela gave the situation serious consideration but ultimately chose to fold.
