Pardo then opted to slow down on the 8♦ turn, check-calling after Wiciak put 13,500 into the middle.

The river 4♠ saw Pardo check once more, and Wiciak snap-checked behind him.

Pardo flipped over A♠A♥, which proved to be the winning hand when Wiciak revealed his Q♣Q♦.

In a pot worth 43,500, Pierre Chevalier moved all in from the big blind on a completed board of 6♠J♠K♣9♣3♠. Alexis Tremblay went deep into the tank on the button, being covered for his stack of 33,100.

The duo engaged in plenty of table talk during the next five minutes, during which Tremblay claimed to have two pair, and Chevalier suggested his opponent should fold such a holding.

Eventually, the clock was called on Tremblay. He let his timer run out, making his hand an automatic fold.

Upon Chris Da-Silva's insistence, Chevalier showed K♥8♥ to the table, a naked top pair, much to the frustration of Tremblay.

Three-way to the 10♦5♠9♦ flop, it checked to Alexandre Raymond in early position, who placed a bet of 6,000. Daniel Charlton called in the small blind, as did Andrea Melluzzo in the big blind.

The 7♥ turn was checked by the trio before Charlton bet 12,500 on the 3♥ river. After a quick fold from Melluzzo, Raymond snap-called.

Charlton turned over J♥J♣, taking down the pot as Raymond mucked what he claimed was ace-ten.

The next hand, Raymond made it 2,500 under the gun. Charlton three-bet to 7,500, which Raymond reraised to 17,000. Charlton folded his J♠J♥ face-up, sharing a chuckle with his opponent.

At showdown, Janssen tabled A♦A♠ for an overpair, while Cappiello had A♥8♥ for a missed flush draw and just a pair of eights. That ended Cappiello’s run, and Janssen stacked a healthy pot to continue in the tournament.
