Under the gun, Mykhailo Ostash made it 50,000 to go. It folded to Adrian Mateos in the big blind, who tossed in calling chips.

Ostash made bets of 40,000 on the 2♣10♥7♠ flop and 110,000 on the 4♠ turn, both of which Mateos check-called. The 4♥ river completed the board. Ostash threw in a familiar bet of 110,000, which Mateos called again.

Ostash tabled J♣9♣ for an attempted bluff, but Mateos had called down with Q♦7♦, winning the hand with his pair of sevens.

The flop came Q♠8♥10♣, and Stoica check-called Fan’s bet of 40,000.

On the Q♥ turn, Stoica checked again, Fan bet 80,000, and Stoica called.

The J♠ river brought more action as Fan fired 200,000. Stoica took his time before calling, only to see Fan reveal 10♥10♦ for a full house. Stoica’s cards quickly hit the muck.

In the next hand, Juan Pardo raised to 50,000 from middle position. Chavelier moved all in, then Stoica raised to 180,000 and got Pardo to fold.

Chevalier wanted to be eliminated to ensure he would make his flight later tonight. He was almost on his way to the airport on 6♥4♦K♥Q♣, but he hit the 4♣ river to double and get back to 45,000.

After an open under the gun by Alessandro Barone, Chevalier jammed again. Longmao Fan defended from the big blind but folded to Barone's continuation bet on 8♥9♠8♠.

The 8♣9♥10♦ flop checked through to the 7♥ turn, where Chilaud led out for 110,000. Mateos gave it some thought, but ultimately folded his big slick to forfeit the pot.

Mateos Puts Ostash on the Spot

Adrian Mateos limped in from the small blind with 10♣7♦, and Mykhailo Ostash checked his option in the big blind with K♣6♥. Mateos bet the minimum amount of 25,000 on the 7♣9♣7♠ flop, seeing Ostash call.

The 3♠ turn then checked through to the K♦ river, which Mateos also checked. Ostash flicked in a bet of 85,000, only to be raised by Mateos, who put in 375,000 with his trip sevens.

Ostash went into the tank, spending one of his precious time banks before he correctly folded his top pair.

Juan Pardo opened from under the gun to 50,000, and Joao Tomas in the cutoff three-bet to 150,000. Pardo then moved his stack in front of him for about 1,100,000, putting Tomas to the test for his tournament life. After some thought, Tomas made the call.

Chilaud Jams Into Vogelsang's Nuts

Maxime Chilaud opened the action to 50,000 under the gun. Tom Vogelsang defended his big blind and check-called another 50,000 from Chilaud on the 7♥9♣A♦ flop.

The 2♥ turn saw Chilaud size up to 100,000. Undeterred, Vogelsang tossed in more calling chips to see the 6♠ river. A third check followed from the Dutchman, after which Chilaud put his opponent all in for 340,000.

Vogelsang instantly called, tabling 10♦8♥ for the nut straight. Chilaud had been bluffing with J♠8♠, losing about half his stack by doubling Vogelsang.
