Joao Tomas flicked in a raise to 24,000 under the gun with A♥10♦. Maxime Chilaud flat-called 9♦9♣ in the small blind, and the two went heads-up to a 3♦10♠5♥ flop. Tomas placed a continuation-bet of 40,000, which Chilaud check-called.

Chilaud also checked the 4♦ turn, prompting Tomas to size up to 110,000. Undeterred, Chilaud called for a second time, seeing the 3♥ emerge from the deck on the river.

Tomas kept the aggression up, shoving in 300,000 chips, the vast majority of his stack. Eventually, Chilaud let go of his pocket pair, chipping up Tomas without showdown.

Evaldas Aniulis opened to 24,000 from early position and was called by Juan Pardo in the hijack. Pierre Chevalier in the cutoff three-bet to 113,000, but Roman Stoica in the big blind four-bet to 200,000.

Both Aniulis and Pardo quickly folded, and Chevalier immediately moved all in for 613,000.

Stoica went into the tank and eventually folded Q♣Q♦ face up. "Ok, I show you," Chevalier said while flipping over K♠K♦.

Adrian Mateos was under the gun and made it 24,000 to go. Joao Tomas flat-called on the button, and Nicola Spallanzani defended his big blind.

Mateos fired a bet of 22,000 on the A♦J♥K♣ flop, seeing both opponents call. He sized up to 85,000 on the 9♠ turn, which was enough to let Tomas fold 10♠10♦.

Spallanzani was not going anywhere yet, however, as he check-called to see the 5♦ river. After Spallanzani checked a third time, a hefty bet of 220,000 followed by Mateos.

Spallanzani grabbed his time banks while he thought things through, and he eventually concluded a call was best after two time banks.

He tossed chips into the middle, but his A♠7♥ quickly disappeared into the muck when Mateos tabled A♥K♦ for top two pair.
