Newey Picks Off Laros
Level 3
: Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
With around 5,000 in the pot on a board of 9♣4♥8♣5♦, Paul Newey bet 3,000 from the cutoff and Jari Laros raised to 8,000 under the gun. Newey called and the 3♠ fell on the river.
Laros then moved all in for 8,500 and Newey spent several minutes in the tank before calling. Laros showed 10♦9♠ for top pair, but Newey had 9♦8♦ for two pair to win the pot and send Laros to the rail.
