Kolonias Leaves Kaverman on Fumes

Heads-up on a flop of 2♥6♣6♠, Alexandros Kolonias bet 7,000 from early position and Byron Kaverman called under the gun.

The turn was the A♦ and Kaverman led out for 15,000. Kolonias called to the K♣ river, where Kaverman bet another 65,500, leaving himself just 3,000 behind.

Kolonias tanked for several minutes until a tablemate called the clock. The countdown had nearly reached zero before he put in the chips and Kaverman showed 7♦7♥. Kolonias turned over A♥J♥ and took the pot with two pair.

At another table, Aurimas Stanevicius had raised to 5,500 in early position, Sameer Chaturvedi shoved for 48,000 in the small blind, and Stanevicius called.

Kassouf Busts in a "Cooler" to Carbo

William Kassouf moved all in for 21,000 from early position and Gerard Carbo called on the button.

"Thank you. Just what I needed, a double up. Maybe a triple up," Kassouf said, but the blinds got out of the way to leave him heads-up with Carbo.

"I'll take the ten of diamonds," Kassouf said as the flop came Q♦J♠3♣.

"Oh, cooler," he added after hitting top pair.

Carbo's ace-kicker remained in the lead on the 7♥ turn, and Kassouf again asked for the 10♦, but he instead saw the A♦ as Carbo improved to two pair to send Kassouf to the rail.

"Write it was a set-over-set cooler. It's all good. I was short anyway," Kassouf said on his way to the exit.

Tian Gets Off Light on Cooler Flop Against Jazayeri

Sean Jazayeri bet 6,500 from the cutoff on a flop of 8♣5♠K♠, Mengshi Tian raised to 15,000 in the big blind, and Jazayeri called.

Tian slowed down and checked the Q♠ turn as Jazayeri bet 15,000. Tian called and checked again on the 9♦ river, and this time Jazayeri checked back.

Jazayeri turned over 5♥5♣ for a flopped set.

"Oh, wow. Lucky queen," Tian said as he flashed kings and eights before mucking.

"That spade saved you a lot of money. I was shoving the turn if the spade doesn't come," Jazayeri added.

"Call," Lu yelled out as she put in 187,000, shooting up from her seat and tossing A♦A♥ onto the table for a rivered full house. Docherty leaned back in his seat and let out a deep sigh as he could only show 5♣4♣ before handing over the massive pot.

"New chip leader. Are you sure you're supposed to be at this table?" Jerome Sgorrano, who had just taken this seat, said to Lu.

"This is a better table," Sgorrano added.

Beneteau Makes a Big Call to Bust Lorenzo

Vitalijs Korhs raised to 4,000 in the cutoff and Jeremie Beneteau called on the button. Miguel Lorenzo then three-bet to 18,000 in the small blind and only Beneteau called.

The flop came 10♣3♦2♥ and Lorenzo continued for 20,000. Beneteau called and both players checked the 10♠ turn.

The river was the K♣ and Lorenzo moved all in for 73,500. Beneteau spent nearly five minutes in the tank before Korhs called the clock. Beneteau took a few more seconds and eventually called as Lorenzo showed A♣7♣ for ace-high. Beneteau turned over 6♥6♣ and won the pot with two pair to send Lorenzo to the rail.
