Cristiani Spikes Set for Huge Double Through O'Dwyer

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Right in front of the media desk, an all in and call was announced and the cards were on their backs. Jean Cristiani was all in from late position for 210,000 against Steve O'Dwyer in early position following raises and reraises that led to all the chips being in the middle. Players turned their cards, with Cristiani at risk.

Jean Cristiani: JJ All in
Steve O'Dwyer: KK

O'Dwyer had the best of it, but not for long. The flop came J79 and Cristiani spiked a set of jacks. The turn was the 4 and river the 8. Cristiani held to win the pot, doubling up to around 430,000 and putting himself among the top chip stacks.

O'Dwyer's stack was devastated as he was left with around 120,000. All he could do was shrug as he handed over the chips.

Krasilnikova Falls to Tytgat Amid Controversy

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Nina Krasilnikova
Nina Krasilnikova

Nicolas Tytgat raised to 6,000 in early position and Nina Krasilnikova moved all in for 18,000 in the small blind. Samuel Baruk then put in 30,000 from the big blind and the table argued over whether it constituted a legal raise.

The floor had to be called over as the argument continued for several minutes. Baruk's bet was allowed to stand and action went back on Tytgat who reshoved. Baruk quickly folded.

Nicolas Tytgat: 99

The K6875 board provided no help to Krasilnikova and she was sent to the rail as Baruk ripped off his headphones and stormed away from the table before his tablemates told him Tytgat had actually made a straight on the river. Baruk finally flashed a smile and took back his seat.

"Ah, ace-four of hearts. Don't do that next time," Yokosawa told him.

Alilovic Takes Time Before Paying Off Zagar

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Christian Alilovic open-raised to 6,000 from middle position and Vid Zagar three-bet to 18,000, which Alilovic called.

The flop came 57A and Alilovic checked. Zagar made it 10,000 to go and Aliliovic check-raised to 25,000. Zagar made the call and action went to the turn, which was the 9. Alilovic gently placed out a bet of 28,000, but Zagar ramped up the aggression by shoving all in for 61,500.

Alilovic went into the tank for several minutes and the floor had to be called for time. As the final seconds trickled away, Alilovic finally made the call and tabled 1010. Zagar had AJ and was way ahead.

The river came the 5 and Zagar held to win the pot, doubling his stack.

Candido Cappiello raised to 6,000 in early position and Virgile Turchi three-bet to 20,000 in the hijack. Cappiello then four-bet to 38,000 and Turchi moved all in for 80,000. Cappiello snap-called and Turchi let out a groan, knowing what was coming even before the cards were revealed.

Virgile Turchi: QQ All in
Candido Cappiello: AA

Turchi's suspicions proved correct as Cappiello turned over a pair of aces. The board ran out J6458 and Turchi was sent to the rail.

"I 100% thought he was bluffing and that you were bluffing. What a great poker player I am," tablemate Andras Nemeth joked with Cappiello after the hand.
