Sabishchenko and Casaburi Involved in Back-to-Back Big Pots
Rostyslav Sabishchenko opened to 900 under the gun. Michele Casaburi called in middle position before David Vesely squeezed in a three-bet to 4,600 from the small blind.
Sabishchenko and Casaburi both called to the K♠6♣9♥ flop, where Vesely continued for 3,600. Sabishchenko got out of the way, but Casaburi bought a turn.
The 6♠ turn and 7♠ river were checked to showdown. Vesely tabled J♠J♥, which was the winning hand as Casaburi quickly mucked.
On the next deal, table chip leader Ralfs Mecaucis made it 900 to go under the gun. Casaburi once again called, but this time Sabishchenko was the one to three-bet, making it 4,900.
Mecaucis and Casaburi both called, seeing Sabishchenko continue for 4,000 on the 4♠Q♦6♥ flop. Mecaucis had seen enough and got out of the way, but Casaburi came along to the 3♠ turn.
Sabishchenko kept firing, betting 10,000. Casaburi clicked it back to 20,000, and Sabishchenko quickly moved all in for 35,000. Casaburi snap-called with the covering stack.
Rostyslav Sabishchenko: Q♠Q♣
Michele Casaburi: 7♦5♦
Casaburi had turned the nut straight, and when the 5♠ river failed to pair the board, Sabishchenko was forced to take his exit with top set.
