Sakalauskas Takes Down a Modest Pot

Eliot Thomas

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Elia Salerno raised to 5,000 with the rest of the table folding around to Modestas Sakalauskas in the big blind, who made the call.

The flop was 3♠9♠J♠, which Sakalauskas checked while Salerno would flick in 3,500. Sakalauskas called and the two players went to the turn.

The turn was the 6♦, which both players checked. The dealer then flipped the J♣ on the river, which was again checked by both players.

Sakalauskas tabled 3♦4♦, and his bottom pair was good enough as Salerno mucked.
