Gkatzas First to Show Aces; Kurtulus Hits the River on Cech
Ding Fan raised to 160,000 on the button, Bora Kurtulus three-bet to 580,000 in the big blind, and Fan quickly folded.
Dimitrios Gkatzas then raised to 160,000 under the gun and received no callers. He tossed A♣A♠ into the middle of the table as he took the pot.
"I was lucky I had no hand. I haven't seen that hand today," Fan said.
The next hand, Conor O'Driscoll raised to 160,000 on the button and took the blinds and ante, showing 9♣9♠.
Vitezslav Cech then raised to 160,000 under the gun and Kurtulus called in the big blind.
Cech continued for 125,000 on the 7♦4♣7♠ flop, and Kurtulus called. Cech bet another 320,000 on the 5♠ turn, and Kurtulus again called.
The A♦ river was checked down, and Kurtulus showed A♠3♥ for a rivered two pair. Cech gave him a puzzled look and wagged his finger at him while he mucked 9♠9♣.
