Palma Survives
Level 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Nicholas Palma got his final 14,500 into the middle from the cutoff, and Cesar Veroez was looking to send him home just before the bubble.
Nicholas Palma: A♥9♦
Cesar Veroez: K♥K♣
With a crowd around, Palma remained confident in the face of two kings, and he was right to do so after the A♦Q♦8♥J♣A♠ runout gave him trips, allowing him to double up and keep his seat in the tournament.
