Toderita's Kicker Plays
Level 26
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alexandru Toderita raised from the middle position to 100,000, and Joris Ruijs defended from the big blind.
Both checked the 8♥Q♥4♦ flop to see the 2♠ on the turn. Ruijs checked again, and Toderita fired a delayed continuation-bet of 90,000. Toderita called.
The J♣ on the river checked through, and Ruijs showed K♣8♦ for a pair of eights. Toderita had him beaten with A♠8♣ for the same pair but with an ace-kicker, and the pot went over to Toderita.
