Barbara Akemi Eliminated in 10th Place (€97,700)
Level 30
: Blinds 50,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Barbara Akemi limped in from the small blind and called when Manuel Ferrari raised to 375,000 from the big blind.
Akemi checked in flow on the 6♥3♠9♦ flop, and Ferrari continued with a bet of 300,000. After using a time extension to ponder a response, Akemi check-raised to 775,000, which Ferrari called.
The turn brought the J♥, and Akemi moved all-in for 1,550,000. Ferrari had no hesitation in calling, putting Akemi at risk of bubbling the unofficial final table.
Barbara Akemi: Q♦9♠
Manuel Ferrari: K♠K♥
Akemi had run into the overpair of the chip leader, and there was no relief waiting in the deck, as the 10♦ completed the board, bringing an end to her deep Main Event run in tenth place.
