It folded to the short-stacked Jose Malpelli in the small blind, who moved his last 2,325,000 over the line with 8♥7♥. Bernhard Binder gave it some thought in the big blind with A♠4♠, but did not want to risk the chips and mucked.
On the next deal, Malpelli was on the button with 8♠8♥. He raised to 500,000, taking down the blinds and antes when Binder and Roman Stoica moved out of the way.
