Back-to-Back Sixes for Djian
David Djian opened to 300,000 as first to act. It folded to Samuel Ju in the big blind, who opted to defend. After the 2♣J♣A♦ flop checked through, Ju took a stab at the pot with a bet of 175,000 on the 2♠ turn.
Djian called to the J♠ river, which was quickly checked to showdown. Ju showed king-high with K♥10♠, leaving Djian to take the pot with 6♥6♦.
On the next shuffle, Bernhard Binder made it 300,000 to go in the cutoff with 8♠8♣. Djian was in the big blind and defended 6♥6♦, check-calling when Binder placed 200,000 on the 7♠Q♠3♥ flop.
Both players took the passive route on the 7♥ turn and checked, prompting Djian to bet 375,000 on the A♦ river.
Binder gave it some thought but ultimately mucked his higher pair as another pot was sent Djian's way.
