Going Dwan

Dwan and out
Dwan and out
Tom Dwan raised to 2,200 and found callers in the shape of Ghassan Bitar and Isaac Haxton.

Flop: {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}

Haxton checked to Dwan, who now bet 4,100; Bitar called and Haxton gave it up. The two of them proceeded to a turn.

Turn: {9-Hearts}

Dwan announced, "All in." Bitar announced, "Call," before the Dwan stack was even across the line, and they flipped them over:

Dwan: {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}
Bitar: {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

River: {A-Clubs}

Casualties

Last photo of Antonius today, as he's out
Those who appear to have fallen by the wayside recently include Darus Suharto, Greg Raymer, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, David "Chino" Rheem, Vivek Rajkumar, William Thorsson, Peters Neff and Eastgate, Per Ummer, Sebastian Ruthenberg and the extremely photogenic Patrik Antonius.

Helppi Me!

Disaster for Juha Helppi. I rush over to see him double through Yevgeniy Timoshenko, holding {10-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} to Timoshenko's {K-Diamonds} {7-Spades} on a {J-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {J-Spades} {4-Spades} {9-Spades} board, but he rakes in the chips with a sullen shrug -- he has only doubled up to 6,000 and is still very short. Sure enough, a few hands later he has vanished into thin air, indicating that he couldn't make a recovery and is now out.
