Coming into the day, Dutchman Nicky Roeg was short-stacked on just over 10,000. He immediately got to work doubling through Michael Greco all in pre-flop, with {A-Spades}{K-Spades} vs. the former actor's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

Neither player improved and Greco was left crippled. Roeg then completes back-to-back double-throughs after convincing Mehmet Cinar that his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} was good enough after he checked a queen-high flop. The nines were not as Cinar moved all in to be instantly called and shown {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} by Roeg.

In a very dramatic hand Chris Moneymaker has just taken out Norwegian Age Spets to win the largest pot of the tournament so far.

Spets opened pre-flop and Moneymaker called.

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Spets bet 6,000, Moneymaker made minimum raise to 12,000 and Spets reraised him back to 24,000. Moneymaker thought for a while then moved all in and Spets called.

{A-Clubs}{A-Spades} for Spets
{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} and bottom set for Moneymaker

{2-Hearts} on the turn giving him quads and the former World Champion is now on a stack of approximately 140,000.

Welcome to sunny London for Day 2 of the PokerStars-sponsored European Poker Tour event from the Victoria Grosvenor casino. Looks like another delayed start but probable by no more than 20-30 minutes, we have just received the re-drawn table details and a there looks like there will be some interesting early action with Swedish wild man Ola Bandborn, Daniel Negreanu and Liam Flood all drawn together. Liz Lieu will be joined at table 11 by chip leader Nicolas Levi and French legend ‘Le Grande’ Jan Boubli.
