26 Left - Press Kicked Out!

It's getting very tense in the tournament area. The size of this tiny casino has resulted in the press being kicked out of the playing area.

I haven't seen any press "sweating" players or hassling anybody. It appears that the railing fans are the cause of the problem.

Fingers crossed that the general public are moved back so we can get on with our jobs.

With 24 being paid and 26 left in, one badly timed move could prove deadly. The very big stacks could make easy money here by stealing the blinds off the short stacks. Included in the larger stacks, with well over 200k, is Farid Meraghni of France. This is the same player who we reported had tidied up at the start of the day with a flush on the river. It has clearly been a productive few hours.

An Irish Voice

One distinctive sound heard from the last 25 was a cry of "Ireland" in a very Irish voice. Given that Simon Kelly was the only player listed in our information as Irish, and we know he has gone, what could this mean?

One deduction is that Andrew O'Flaherty, listed as UK (maybe Northern Ireland) was the man concerned. He was well-chipped up at the start of the day.

The shout arose as a queen card hit the flop. O'Flaherty (we assume it was he) was all-in with AQ and that flop looked good against his caller's A3. A handy time to double up a small stack.
