Colman Doubles Buddiga

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The camera crews swarmed around table 7 all of the sudden, and we rushed over to see what happened.

Pratyush Buddiga was all in before the flop from the button with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. He was in good shape to double his 135,000 stack as Daniel Colman was his opponent with {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} in middle position.

The {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} board didn't do Colman any good, and Buddiga doubled his stack.

Torelli Doubles Through Kenney

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli

In a battle of the blinds, Alec Torelli got all of his chips in the middle holding {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} in the big blind. Kenney, in the small blind, made the call with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

The {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop gave Torelli an extra possibility to win the hand. The {A-Hearts} on the turn gave him a full house, and the lead in the hand. Kenney needed the case ten to chop it, but the {7-Clubs} on the river didn't deliver.

Checking In with WSOP November Niner Martin Jacobson

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop, both Martin Jacobson and Timothy Adams checked to see the {4-Hearts} land on the turn. Jacobson bet 27,000, and Adams called. After the {6-Spades} fell on the river, Jacobson check-folded to a bet of 50,000 from Adams.

Shortly thereafter, Jacobson was involved in another hand against Adams. This time the action started with a raise to 17,000 from Oleksii Khoroshenin from middle position before Adams reraised to 38,000 from the hijack seat. Jacobson cold four-bet to 64,000 out of the small blind, and play folded back to Adams. He called.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and Jacobson took some time before betting 40,000. Adams wasted little in folding, and Jacobson won the pot.

While Jacobson has been a notable player for quite some time now, especially on the European circuit, he's gained a new type of fame through reaching the 2014 World Series of Poker November Nine. Yesterday, Remko Rinkema spoke with Jacobson about his preparation for the WSOP Main Event final table to come in a couple months and the media frenzy surrounding him since:

Van Hoof's Bluff Fails

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We just witnessed Jorryt van Hoof bet out 30,000 from the small blind on a board of {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Sam Trickett folded his big blind after some thinking, but Jason Les made the call from the button.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Van Hoof now bet out 60,000. Les thought for a few seconds, and then made the call.

Van Hoof showed {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for not much of anything. Les had {K-Spades}{7-Hearts} and raked in the pot.

Wong is Right

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Les opened for 19,000 from the hijack, and just Nick Wong in the small blind made the call.

Both players checked the {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop, and the {6-Spades} hit the turn. Wong lead out for 22,000, and Les made the call.

The {3-Spades} on the river made Wong check. Les gathered some chips, and pushed 77,000 forward. Wong thought about it for some time, but eventually made the call with his {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. The fact that Les had {7-Clubs}{J-Spades} made us use the worst of all puns as the headline for this post.
