Ivashkin Finally Felted

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Andrei Ivashkin had been short for a while and had got a double up a few hands earlier but was still shy of 50,000 when he got the last of it in and got a call from Eric Sfez.

Ivashkin had the best of it with {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} against the {k-Spades}{q-Spades} of Sfez.

The flop of {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} gave Ivashkin his pair but also a flush draw to Sfez. That’s not how he knocked Ivashkin out though as the turn {q-Hearts} and river {q-Diamonds} gave Sfez trips and the rest of Ivashkin’s chips.

Aido tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Nitsche the {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The dealer put {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} in the middle and Aido doubled through Nitsche.

Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

Anton Wigg had increased his short stack to 80,000 again and then got it in preflop after a raising war with Garret Gruener. The Swede needed to improve with his {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} but was drawing dead on the turn against the {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} of his opponent on a board of {3-Spades} {7-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}.

Ekvardt Busts As Vamplew Doubles

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The flop was {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} and a 5,000 bet from Emil Ekvardt saw David Vamplew move all in over the top and Ekvardt shrug call. The stacks were very close together with Ekvardt having slightly more.

Ekvardt had top pair {k-Spades}{10-Spades} and Vamplew was on the draw with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and the river {8-Hearts} delivered the flush for Vamplew to leave Ekvardt short and in the small blind next hand.

Ekvardt would get it in next hand with {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and couldn’t win against the {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} of Thomas Butzhammer.

Peters Shoves on Metalidi

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Quite a large pot had built until the {5-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} turn and Tobias Peters then moved all in for more than 160,000 out of the blinds. Initial raiser Artem Metalidi gave it some thought and then mucked his cards.

Sylvain Loosli
Sylvain Loosli

The Frenchman sighed when he spotted the {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} of his opponent, but the {K-Spades} {3-Spades} {8-Spades} {3-Clubs} {A-Clubs} board was kind to him and sent Loosli to the rail.
