Ekvardt and Moschitta on the Rail

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Upon returning to the tournament area, Luca Moschitta walked towards us and confirmed his elimination after running his short stack with pocket nines into pocket aces.

Emil Ekvardt is also on the rail. He was all in and at risk preflop with {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} against the {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} of Miroslav Alilovic. There was no help on a board of {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {5-Spades} {10-Diamonds} and Alilovic integrated the chips of his table neighbor into his own stack.

Kings For Horecki

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Marcin Horecki and Olivier Douce were all in with Douce at risk as another player decided what to do. As the clock was called and we arrived he mucked his hand before the floor could begin a countdown.

Douce showed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Horecki {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Despite calling for that elusive ace it wouldn’t appear for Douce and a final board of {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades} saw his chips shipped to Horeki.

Sekularac Doubles

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Ognjen Sekularac and Jimmy Vasseur tangled preflop and Sekularac was the player at risk with the {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}. Vasseur had {A-} {9-} and remained with only 8,000 chips after a board of {6-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {9-Spades} {A-Hearts} {8-Spades}. The next hand these chips vanished after he was unable to improve with {10-} {7-}.

The Best Breakfast Ever!

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We spoke to EPT champions and tons of other top professionals to talk a bit about a very serious topic: Breakfast. Dominik Nitsche, Anton Wigg, Michael Tureniec, Dominik Panka, Marcin Horecki, Dario Sammartino and many others gave us their take on what the perfect breakfast looks like. And of course we had to make fun of our own Chad Holloway a bit.

MacPhee Takes A Pot

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Kevin MacPhee
Kevin MacPhee

Action folded round to Artur Koren in the small blind who raised to 5,800. Kevin MacPhee was in the big blind and he elected to call.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Koren check-called a 4,400 bet from MacPhee. The {a-Clubs} hit the turn and Koren checked. MacPhee had a look back at his hole cards, seemingly liked what he saw, and bet 12,200.

It was Koren’s turn to look back at his hand and he didn’t like it so much. In the muck they went.

Tureniec Busts to Visser in Battle of EPT Champions

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Michael Tureniec
Michael Tureniec

Owain Carey opened and Ruben Visser on the button a couple positions down made the call. Michael Tureniec over called from the big blind. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{Q-}{5-Hearts} and Tureniec checked to Carey who c-bet 6,000. Visser now raised to 15,900 and Carey made the call after Tureniec folded.

Carey check called a bet of 22,000 on the {4-Hearts}-turn. The {4-} on the river made for a board with two pair, and Carey checked again. Visser bet 35,000 and Carey folded.

Not much later Carey opened to 4,200. Ruben Visser made it 9,600 and action folded back to Carey. The Brit four bet to 18,000, but folded to Visser's all in.

It was then up to Visser again and he raised to 4,500. Tureniec moved all in for 50,000 from one seat over and was eventually called by the Dutchman after some consideration.

Tureniec: {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Visser: {A-Spades} {J-Hearts}

The {2-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} flop was still good for the Swede in the battle of former EPT champions, but the {J-Diamonds} turn saw Visser improve. Only a queen could save Tureniec, yet the {10-Hearts} river was a brick and sent him to the rail.

One For Tir

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Kamel Tir raised to 4,500 from under the gun and found two middle positioned callers. Sergio Aido was on the button and he three-bet the action to 16,000. Action folded back to Tir and he moved out a four-bet to 29,500. The two middle positioned players folded and Aido thought for about 90 seconds before calling to see a flop.

The dealer put out {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Tir moved out a stack of chips and Aido instantly folded. Tir took down the pot and brought his stack up to about 145,000

Carey Takes Care of Tato

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Only minutes after his double up, Bartolomeo-Fulvio Tato five-bet shoved for 85,000 into Owain Carey's four-bet and got snap-called by pocket aces. Tato had pocket jacks and was drawing dead on the turn, though the river was rubbing it in with a jack as well on {6-} {10-} {A-} {6-} {J-}.
