Second Bullet For Andreev

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Andrey Andreev has indeed bought back in after his big shove with a draw bricked the river in level two. Level three and a new bullet isn’t going a whole lot better.

Three players had got to the turn of a board reading {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Dimitar Danchev had moved all in for 23,900. Andreev made the call which seemed to leave the remaining player with a decision as he took a short while before folding.

Danchev showed his {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a turned straight and a frustrated Andreev tabled his {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} drawing dead. A river {6-Spades} saw a big pot shipped to Danchev.

O’Dwyer Wins A Strange One

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Carlos Leoncio Mironiuk just played a rather strange pot with Steve O’Dwyer. Mironiuk opened the action and O’Dwyer in the small blind raised to 3,700. Mironiuk seemed uncertain of how many chips he needed to put out but he did want to call so the dealer helped him out and they went to the heads up flop of {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

Both players checked and the turn card was the {10-Diamonds}. Mironiuk threw out a bet of 4,000 but had acted out of turn. O’Dwyer then bet 5,000 and Mironiuk called. The river card was the {J-Hearts} and a bet from O’Dwyer saw Mironiuk slam his cards face up in anger announcing, “Fold.”

The dealer scooped up his {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and shipped the chips to O’Dwyer.

Gruissem Shoves Turn

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, Leslie Arthur Packer check-raised Philipp Gruissem's 3,000 bet to 8,500 and German made the call to see the {4-Hearts} on the turn.

Packer fired 10,000 this time before Gruissem set Packer all in and the latter tanked for several minutes.

"Rebuy! It's a rebuy, you can't bust out!" said Gruissem, giving Packer what they call here in London 'the verbal treatment'. "...Ok, I have no full house. Full house, I just call..."

Packer smiled and continued to think.

"Ace-seven [of clubs]?" inquired Gruissem.

"Four-seven suited?" said Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

Finally, a clearly pained Packer folded his hand and, despite requests to the contrary, Gruissem refused to show his hand to the rest of the table.

Aces Running Hot

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Jose Quintas opened the action from under the gun for 1,000 and got a call from Max Silver. Patrick Leonard then bumped up the price to 3,100 but faced four-bet to 7,775 from Quintas. Silver had seen quite enough and folded.

Leonard then asked how much Quintas started with but got no reponse from the headphone wearing player. He did show him his stack though and Leonard mulled it over, counting out a raise and putting out the five-bet. Quintas responded with a shove and Leonard snapped him off.

Quintas had {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} but Leonards acting ability had disguised his {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. A run out of {8-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} saw a double up for Leonard to 110,000 and reduced Quintas to around 20,000.

The very next hand saw an open from early position and a three-bet from Leonard to 2,150. Quintas then cold four-bet to 4,600. The original raiser asked him if he was planning to re-buy as he had a hand, but he did make the fold. Leonard then moved all in and Quintas called.

Leonard showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} but it was Quintas this time with the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Quintas called for a king but he didn’t get his wish as the cards ran out {9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to double him up, but below starting stack.
