Pablo Fernandez Bubbles the EPT £10,300 High Roller

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Pablo Fernandez
Pablo Fernandez

Pablo Fernandez moved all in for 67,000 preflop and Dimitar Danchev called. Next to act was Joel Nordkvist and he tanked for several minutes before making it 137,000. The action was quickly passed back to the Bulgarian who announced all in.

Nordkvist let out a big, embarrassed smile, not hugely enthused about his hand, but he called all in!

Fernandez: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Danchev: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Nordkvist: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Fernandez couldn't find a nine to save his tournament life. The other two players were no doubt more relieved not to have lost than to have actually knocked out the bubble. Everyone is now in the money, save for our unlucky Spaniard.

Marc Daubach Eliminated in 21st Place (£19,650)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Andrew Chen opened to 24,000 preflop and Marc Daubach moved all in for about 200,000. Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden reraised all in from the big blind and Chen quickly folded.

Daubach: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Lodden: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The flop came {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Daubach now had the case six for an out to a chop. The {5-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river changed nothing and the Belgian player went out in 21st.

Sam Trickett

Sam Trickett shoved his short stack in from the button preflop with {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Niall Farrell reshoved in the small blind holding {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

Though Trickett was live and hit one of his hole cards on the flop, Farrell managed to do the same and the Scotsman won out on the {7-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} board.

A Series Of Double Ups

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Marvin Rettenmaier got it all in with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} against the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Joel Nordkvist to double up and leave Nordkvis short after a run out of {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Nordvkist then moved tables and double up twice through Ole Schemion. First with {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} against Schemion’s {a-Spades}{2-Hearts} on a run out of {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and a few hands later with {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} versus the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Schemion when the board ran out {3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

Next it was the turn of Salman Behbehani to get his short stack in with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} against the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Dimitar Danchev. Their board finished {8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Fady Kamar
Fady Kamar

We didn't see former EPT Madrid winner Frederik Jensen's cards but Fady Kamar just managed to double through the Danish player on a {2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} board, Kamar's two-pair hand of {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} enough to win a big pot.

Farrell Doubles Through Schemion

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

On the turn of a {6-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board in a three-bet pot, Niall Farrell bet 73,000 and Ole Schemion made the call to see the {Q-Spades} on the river. Farrell checked and Schemion moved all in to cover the Scot.

"I'm probably not going to fold," said Farrell. "I can beat a jack that's bluffing. Jack-ten? I can't beat queen-jack obviously."

Farrell made the call and Schemion tapped the table and turned over {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. Farrell flipped {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Schemion said, "Obviously, I wasn't trying to make you fold that but maybe a queen?"
